Q. How long will it take to get
my certificate?
A. "QUICK SSL" certificates are FAST.
Once you submit the request and your payment is approved,
it typically takes less than 10 minutes to complete
your order. for "TRUEBizID" certificates the
process can take a few days and depends on how quickly
you forward the information that is required. If you
need assistance installing your certificate please email

Q. What is the process for ordering
a certificate?
A. First, go to our SSL
certificate page and use the link provided to order
your certificate. Here you will be able to specify the
type of certificate you need, the number of years the
certificate is valid, and enter your credit card information
for payment.
Once we receive and verify your payment, we will process
your order. This will generate two emails. The first
will be an automated email receipt. The second will
be an automated email from Hosted In Canada with a few
questions we need you to answer to generate the Certificate
Signing Request (CSR) you will need along with your
registration code.
Once you have responded to our email in the step above,
we will process your order.
You will then receive an email from the certificate
vendor "Geo Trust" with a link to approve
the certificate order and instructions on what information
you will need to complete your order, if needed.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to send this information promptly
to ensure quick processing of your order.
For "TRUEBizID" certificates we require additional
information. Once the certificate vendor has verified
your proof or organization (True Business ID only),
they will send you and Hosted In Canada the site certificate.
Once we receive this, you will be contacted by our office
to offer support with installing the certificate on
your site.

Q. How long is a certificate valid?
A. Certificates are valid for 365 days from the
date of issuance (not purchase). Renewal certificates
are valid for one year from 365 days from the latter
of the date of issuance or the date of expiration of
the certificate it is replacing (if a GeoTrust certificate
is being renewed).

Q. How do I renew my certificate?
A. 60 days before your certificate expires you
will receive an email with detailed instructions on
how to renew your certificate. Renewing a certificate,
is just like ordering a new certificate, simple. Renewal
certificates are typically issued within one to two
days if the organization information for the domain
has not changed. If the organization information has
changed, the proof of organization will need to be faxed
when processing the renewal (True Business ID only).

Q. Can I get a refund for my certificate
after it is ordered or after it is issued?
A. Certificates that have been ordered but not
issued can be cancelled. Certificates that have been
issued can be only be refunded within seven days of
issuance.
